You can enjoy your life by imbibing a healthy lifestyle. Does this make you uneasy? In many quarters living a healthy lifestyle have been made to look earth-shattering, but in reality it just requires few adjustments to or regular lifestyle that may demand so little effort on our part if we decide to. Some of the little changes we could make may include the following:
1. Choose your friends wisely:
The kind of persons you keep company will add to your overall lifestyle. For example if most of your friend are liars, you will either start lying or become less concerned when your company say something that they want everyone to believe is truth when you and they know it is actually a lie or if your best friend is a thief you will one day start demanding that they give you something they have stolen if you don’t join them in this act. A healthy lifestyle is a combination of physical and mental well being. A wholesome life is obtained by having good health, good work environment and healthy relationships. Being in a good company of loving, good and pleasant friends and family members motivates and inspires a person to higher achievement.
2. Regularly exercise keeps the doctors away
When you exercise regularly you not only make your muscles stronger but your heart healthier, when you exercise often it means you are having an active and useful body and mind. Few things can raise the activity of the body as well as exercise. An active body also means you are alive and well. By exercising your body, you not only keep fit but also help in mental alertness. Other benefits of exercising includes: strengthening the cardiovascular system eliminating obesity and maintenance of body metabolism. It has been observed that regular exercise can bust immune system and can even enhance your body image and appeal.
3. Eat what you want: ensure it is green
Healthy diet and contains the essential nutrients such as carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, and minerals. Having a balanced diet is very crucial for living healthy. It is very much important to keep yourself away from unhealthy junk food, which has high amounts of unsaturated fats, cholesterol and sugar.
A healthy diet should include a variety of food items such as, fruits, vegetables, meat, drinks and maize, wheat, rice, beans, peas, lentils, fish, etc., the basic requirements of nutrients, minerals, fats, proteins, carbohydrates, fiber, sugar, and so on. Some of the food items which are needed to be included in daily diet are cereals, green salads, fruits, dairy products etc.
4. Find time for rest and relaxation
As much as work is good not only for means of livelihood but it is also a way to strengthen our body, however work alone is not enough to keep us on our best. Your body needs rest, without which it becomes completely exhausted. It is during rest that our body repairs itself; a healthy body needs rest to rejuvenate its cells regularly in course of working so as to regain its functions and energy. Nothing can replace the role of rest and sleep is the best form of rest in terms of providing relaxation to the body. It will helps you to relax; to increased calmness; or otherwise reduce levels of anxiety, stress or anger can decrease muscle tension, lower the blood pressure and slow heart.
5. Keep drugs away
Exposing yourself to drugs lowers your health status. Substance abuse or drug abuse is the unlawful use of prescription medicine or hard drug. Athletes have been known to use drugs to enhance their performance during competitions and when they are caught they face serious penalty. Sometimes this drugs have been used as sedative, pain reliever, stimulant or as means to expand social status and rating amongst friends. The result of abusing drug has detrimental effects: from poisoning, brain damage, addiction, wastage of scarce finance, etc. Anyone that wishes to better their life should do away with drugs.
