Why cashless banking can be enhanced using tablet and smartphone

There was a time when you can only withdraw money in Nigeria from only the bank where you open the bank account, you may not even be able to withdraw from another branch of the bank unless on special arrangement.

Today the story is different. You can deposite now in a bank in Lagos, fly over to Abuja go to an ATM machine and withdraw the money irrespective of the bank that owns the ATM

Banking has gone online though still stationery. Cashless transaction may not appeall to Nigerians if it doesn't save people's time, and one way that can happen is if Nigerians can make this transactions using their tablet or smartphones they flunt around daily.

One problem that remains is security, security of money, personal details and network. With user adoption of mobile devices exploding, it is more important than ever for organizations and banks to deliver an optimized user experience to their mobile users, with web applications that run flawlessly on any device be it android, Apple iPad or Windows mobile.

All the talk about cashless banking is gradually wearing down because Nigerians aren't prepared for it. Cashless banking should naturally blend into normal lifestyle of Nigerians when the right thing is done and the condition is right.

Cashless transaction can happen faster for Nigeria if banking goes mobile.
