According to Gartner Inc, Cloud computing, Mobile technology and the social media are 3 emerging computing environment that is revolutionizing today's business environment. It Says that mobile smart phones internet usage would overtake PCs internet usage by 2015 that over 80% of the handsets sold in mature markets will be smartphones (Windows 8, Google android and Apple iOS). However, only 20% of those handsets are likely to be Windows phones, PCs are “endangered species”.
Personal cloud will gradually replace the PCs as the location where individuals keep their personal content, access their services and personal preferences and a center of their digital lives. It will be the glue that connects the web of devices they choose to use during different aspects of their daily lives. Users will see it as a portable, always-available place where they go for all their digital needs.
Gartner believes that by 2014, Enterprises would be faced with a complex app store future as some organizations will decide to deliver mobile applications through private application stores. And that there will be a shift away from native apps (embedded on the mobile device) to Web apps as HTML5 becomes more capable so that developers will need to develop new design skills to deliver touch-optimized mobile applications that operate across a range of devices.
