Most people consider boring; living in the same place and seeing the same thing for many years without travelling. Personally I won’t bargain a planned holiday for any form of monetary compensation.
When planning a trip that go beyond 100 miles away from where you live or going across state or your country boundary you should include as part of your arrangements travel insurance and/or travel health insurance to cover you and those travelling with you from risk associated with the trip. When you leave your home to go on a trip; the possibility for something that might go wrong will go beyond the expenses you can handle is higher as compared to a familiar environment.
Some risk we are likely to encounter when we travel includes:
1. All forms of losses to personal belongings or luggage.
2. Damage done to you as a result of theft, harassments, accidents or death of someone travelling with you.
3. Problems associated with immigration that you could hardly explain which may result in repatriation so that you will urgently need Reparation.
4. Exorbitant medical expenses
5. Sudden evacuation that may result from earthquake, flood, volcanic eruption, cyclone, terrorist attacks or epidemic.
6. All forms of interruptions delays and cancellation of your trips
7. Other forms of liabilities
All the above mentioned damages could go beyond our budgets and so this calls for the purchase of some cheap travel insurance or cheap travel health insurance.
What is travel insurance?
Travel insurance is a form of insurance that is purchased by an individual, a group or a family which may include their pets against losses one incur while travelling.
What is travel health insurance?
Travel health insurance is just a health insurance that handles your medical expenses abroad and may include surgery.
You may buy travel insurance on a temporary bases if your international trips are just ones or twice yearly for leisure, cruise, adventure or vacation. You can buy and extensive travel insurance/travel health insurance if you are likely to stay abroad on an extended period of time such as for business, research or missionary purposes.
Some companies provide coverage for actors, actresses and entertainers who may have a need to travel. Also some high risk sports men and women involved who go for competition abroad and do skiing, scuba-diving, scatting, mountain climbing, expeditions and hot air balloon who go abroad for competition may require special coverage.
You should remember that the amount of money you invest on good travel insurance will not reduce the level of care you should observe during you stay.
You should take note of the following as a way of advice during your stay:
1. The food you eat, let it be healthy
2. The places you visit should be safe
3. The things you do should be legal
4. The words you speak should be courteous
5. The friends you keep should be good
You should ensure that at least someone knows where you are travelling to and how long you will spend there. Keep in touch with family. Bon voyage.
