Someone remarked some time ago that his online experience is safe and very private, that as long as no one else get to find out about his user name and password to his account in an online member area, he feels the Internet is secured.
You and I know that it is really an assumption to presume that no one can pry into his otherwise secure member area to view his private info.
Going back in time to the genesis of the Internet:
The Internet started because of the need to communicate between researchers from different University in USA in 1973 by Vinton Cerf as part of project sponsored by united States Department of Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA) and directed by American engineer Robert Kahn.
From the onset the aim was to share resources on a public, voluntary and cooperative effort between the connected Universities, mind you no one can really lay claim to owning the Internet exclusively. So, not much has changed presently. The Internet is still for everyone and owned by no one.
Now, what are you left with, (think of the cyber space as the general air that we all have the right to) Secure the air you breath.
The World Wide Web (WWW) as we know it today was developed in 1989 by English computer scientist Timothy Berners-Lee for the European , Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN). The design of the Internet was done in 1973 and published in 1974.
The Internet by definition is the network of computers joined together by wires and other telecommunication devices with the aim of sharing resources.
Do you still think the Internet is private? My next post will shock you.
