MTN Mobile Money Registration And Activation

MTN Mobile Money service in association with GTBank-Guaranty Trust Bank, Fortis Micro Finance Bank and powered by MTN. This service enables MTN mobile users buy, sell, send money or receive money without using cash.

REGISTRATION

To Register your SIM card, go to MTN mobile money agent, fill in the required form and buy a compatible SIM. To complete your registration,

1. Dial *500#
2. you will be prompted to answer some questions. Reply with the right answer to the questions that follow.
3. Answer each question as accurate as possible because anytime you forget your account PIN, these questions will be used to authenticate you before granting access to select another PIN.
4. Enter your agent phone number e.g. 2348163408552 or Reply with skip to continue if you are not been registered by an agent.
5. Choose your preferred bank from the list of banks (GTB and other banks).
6. After you responded with your preferred bank, you will receive a text message containing your activation token ( 6 digits alphanumeric) e.g. 2211OT
7. Proceed by dialing *501# to activate your account.

To confirm if your SIM is registered type reg in a text message and send to 789, you will receive a notification message confirming the status of your SIM registration.

Once you register your SIM you would need to go ahead to activate your account

Activating your Mobile Money Account

To activate you MTN mobile money account,

1. Dial *501#
2. Enter your activation token ( 6 digits alphanumeric)�� e.g 2211OT
4. Choose a four digit account PIN e.g 4357
5. Repeat the PIN to confirm that you entered it correctly the first time.
6. You will receive a welcome text message from MobileMoney. Your MobileMoney account is ready for use.
7. Dial *501# to use the service.
After activating your account, you are ready to fund your account. Fund your mobile money account by buying and loading MTN mobile scratch card available at all mobile money agent locations, GTBank branches, and MTN friendship centres. Like ATM transactions you mobile money transactions are protected by a 4-digit PIN.
