How Mobile Broadband Contribute To National GDP

Nigeria has over 100 M mobile handset in circulation and up to a 3rd has one form of internet subscription or the other, what does this boil down to? It means that many Nigerians are able to cut the amount of time taken to completely close a business transaction, send important messages to love ones, share photos videos and other resources with collegues associates and friends.

Benefits of Mobile broadband

1. It has increased the per capital growth of Nigeria gross domestic product (GDP) in the past 10 years. How many businesses has spranged up as an off-shoot: call centres, recharge card sales, cyber cafes, website development solution, and it has added one form of support base to already existing multi-million naira bussinesses.

2. Recent study has shown the huge impact mobile broadband has on the countries which has embraced this technology, that it revamps economy, it has been observed that with the increasing penetration of mobile broad band nationally, the potential of businesses, governments, and the general public has been improved dramatically.

3. Institutions of leaning has benefited from installation of mobile broad band internet from which immense online resources can be accessed. I would say for Nigeria to enjoy better speed when surfing, telekom companies needs to improve their fibre optic networks, Fiber optic networks is an essential if we telekom companies are to provide reliable, advanced communication services.

Also, Telekom companies needs to begin to think of moving ahead; from 3G High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) to 4G HSPA Long-Term Evolution (LTE). 3G network is capable of not more than 1.2Mbps on a good day but in most case if you get 256 to 512 Kbps then you are good. A 4G HSPA Long-Term Evolution (LTE) is capable of speed of over 1.2 Mbps and upto 12Mbps and more. That would be super speed internet

  1. Fantastic blog! Do you have any suggestions for
aspiring writers? I'm hoping to start my own site soon but I'm a little lost on everything.
Would you suggest starting with a free platform like Wordpress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I'm totally overwhelmed ..
    Any ideas? Appreciate it!
